Small Dog Breeds for Small Homes
Do you live in a small apartment or home and despair because you feel that you do not have enough space for a pet dog?   There is no need to be discouraged as you can also keep a dog as a pet. There is a large variety of small and toy dog breeds from which you can select. The only thing that you need to be sure of is the fact that you are ready to take on the responsibility of keeping a dog. If you look after your dog, it will return the affection to you many times over.

Small dog breeds are very cute and playful. They make great pets.  You do need to exercise small dogs. Take them out for a walk in the nearby park once a day.  One of the cutest breeds of small dogs is the Maltese. It has a long silky coat that is as white as snow and weighs not more than six to seven pounds when fully grown.

Another beautiful small breed is the King Charles spaniel. Dogs of this breed have a long silky coat and there are a number of colors from which you can choose. It is available in solid red, black and tan, red and white color combinations. It is an extremely friendly and loyal dog that is eager to please and gets along well with the family.

Yet another small breed is the Lowchen or affectionately referred to as the little lion. It is referred to by this sobriquet, as in spite of its small size it is fearless in temperament.

There are a number of small breeds from which you can select. These breeds are space friendly dogs in a manner of speaking .Even if you live in a small apartment, you need not despair as you can keep any one of these breeds as a pet.
