Leash Him the Right Way
Training your dog is a job in itself. The success of the training that you impart to your canine friend rests on a lot of factors. The patience of the taskmaster and the learning abilities of the dog are of utmost importance here. But there are some other things that matter too in dog training and that is kind of training tools you put to use.

When you talk of training tools there are two basic things that you would need i.e. a leash and a dog collar. Though you have ample choices for both of them, choosing the right option can become a little tricky at times. You need to understand the nature and the requirements of your dog before you actually zero in on a particular option.

A dog leash is something that every dog owner will need. This leash serves as the perfect channel of communication between the dog and his master. Other than that it is the leash that makes sure that your dog is safe in crowdie situations. Thus, it becomes extremely important that you leash your dog but in the right manner.

Irrespective of what kind of leash you chose, great care should be taken to ensure that it does not become too heavy to become unbearable for the dog. Further on, the leash should be proper adjusted to the size of the dog. An ideal training leash should measure up to six feet. Too big or too small a leash can create problems for you as well as your dog. The metal clasp of the leash is again something that you must take note of. Always go in for a leash that has bolt-type, swivel-snap design metal clasp.

Here one must understand that not every dog needs the same leash. The leash that you choose for your dog should be in accordance with your dog’s size. For instance, if you are a proud owner of a small pup then your dog will not need a leash thicker than half an inch. A ¾ inch leash should be more that sufficient for giant to medium sized dogs.

Another interesting option for your dog leash would retractable leashes. These leashes are the perfect option that will tell your dog to come and play without you having to traverse much. However, there is a word of caution. These leashes should never be used in crowded places.

Supplement your efforts that you put in dog training with the right training tools and the results are gong to be more than visible.
