Dog Sweaters You Can Make on Your Own
Shopping for your pet’s clothes can be great fun. Pet garment designers are working overtime and with the designs, motifs, fabrics and patterns that are available, you just might have a very tough time deciding on what to buy. What with faux fur, faux leather, denim and lace amongst the numerous fabrics that pet garments are made of, shopping for your pet is a great way to show your affection.

Another great way to shower love and affection on your pet is to make a garment for your pet dog at home. For example, you can make a sweater for a small pet dog very easily. Do not worry, you do not have to buy wool and start knitting the sweater at home. You can make a sweater for your dog from an old sweater. You might want to use that old Australian lamb wool sweater with a stain that you do not wear anymore.

Just measure your pet dog from neck to hindquarters or stomach, depending on whether you want the sweater to cover the hind legs of your pets, or only up to the stomach. Cut out a sleeve from the sweater to the length that you want. The cuff of the sleeve will cover the neck of your pet dog. Just make four holes for the legs of your pet, and you have a perfect sweater that will fit your pet very snugly.

You can make this sweater in very little time. You can add any embellishments such as buttons, lace and other such frills if you want to.
 
In case you do not have an old sweater, you can buy a cheap and used sweater from an old clothes shop and work with that. It will be great fun and you will love to see your pet wearing your creation.
