Yelling, tugging him on leash and choking must not be used by the trainers for the dog to recognize unacceptable behavior. Instead, it is better to ignore them for a while to make them feel guilty.  

Also, they must reward the pet for their good performance by patting their back, appreciate them with phrases such as good boy or give them their favorite food. Furthermore, a good trainer will also be familiar with the behavior of the dogs and know various methods to control dogs of different breeds. They are also trained to handle common dog problems such as aggression or anxiety.

When searching for a dog trainer, word of mouth is the best way as there is nothing to certify the skills of a good dog trainer. You can ask your veteran and other dog owners in your neighborhood or in your family. Internet is another alternative to search for dog trainers in your area.
