| Partying, Holidaying, with Your Dog |

Your pet pooch could be your best companion for a holiday. But, going out on a holiday with your dog is not as simple as it may seem to be. There are a few things that you need to take care of so that you are able to enjoy the holiday with your dog. First and foremost do not forget the fact that just because you and your dog are on a holiday, he can go about eating anything. Make sure that you do not feed him on scraps from your picnic table. Carry his food along to ensure proper nutrition. Next, try and keep your dog's routine intact, as closely as possible. Minor alterations would not make much of a difference so make it a point that feeding, walking, playing etc go as per the schedule. If you are out on holiday for a couple of days, the dog is most likely to react to the new place. He may or may not like it. Thus, keep him close to yourself and introduce the new place to him. If you have a party at with a lot many people then it would be advisable to keep your dog in a room not to be used by any of your guests. You could also keep the dog by your side or with some other family member whom he knows. He may not be very comfortable with so many unknown people around him. Dogs are generally scared of fireworks so avoid taking your dog to any such place. He would not enjoy the sight and rather get panicked. If it's Christmas time then you have to be even more careful. The festive season might not be very inviting for your dog as he may no like the noise and the buzz. Also, while making a Christmas tree, make sure that you do not put the lights on the lower branches. If he happens to roam around them, he may get burnt. Keep all the electrical chords out of his reach so that he may not chew on them and get a shock. Thus, partying or holidaying with your pet dog is surely a fun filled affair but you have to be sure that you take care of these few important things so that the experience remains as a good memory forever. Also, following these tips would help you keep your dog away from any harmful repercussions. |
