Dental care is a must
More importance needs to be given to your pet's dental care as he/she ages. The rate or tartar build up is higher in older dogs. This can lead to various dental diseases such as infected gums or gingivitis. Most pet owners are apprehensive of subjecting their pet to any kind of dental treatment. This is because dental procedures need anesthesia, which can be risky for senior dogs. However, pet owners need not be apprehensive as the advances in veterinary anesthesia have minimized the level of risks involved in anesthesia.
