Getting a new puppy is a great and joyous occasion to which we all look forward. We play with the puppy and we dote on it. Since the puppy is small, we even let it sleep in our own beds for a while. The puppy however is going to grow and get bigger. It needs a place of its own to sleep. This helps the puppy to sleep without being bothered and without bothering us. Yes, even puppies have needs that are just like ours. In case you have a pet dog, then one of the requirements of the pet is going to be a doggie bed. Let us face it. We love dogs as we love our children. Just as if we tuck our children into their own beds, we should also get a bed for our pet dogs. A separate bed that the growing puppy will be able to identify with is very important as it gives the puppy sufficient room to sleep. A bed is very important if we have a large breed of dog such as a Labrador, a German Shepherd or a St Bernard. Large dogs will not be able to sleep on our beds. They cannot sleep on the floor or on a mat, as neither option is very comfortable during the cold winter. Large dogs need to sleep in an open area where they can keep an eye on the entire house. Just how big a bed does your dog require? To answer the question you have to consider the dog’s breed and how big the dog will be, once fully grown. There are a number of styles and sizes of beds that are available for pet dogs. There are large beds for large dogs and extra large beds for extra large dogs. There is a line of beds that can be adjusted for size to accommodate your growing pup. |
