Pug puppies are very small in size and are generally counted amongst the category of small dogs. Americans also call them toys dogs. They have a flat, round and heavily wrinkled face. Their tails can always be seen tightly curled over their hips. The pups are usually available in fawn, silver, apricot and black colors. All in all they are very loyal and affectionate pets.
The pups look completely different from their parents when born. Even their color is different at the time of birth, which changes with time. In spite of their small size, this dog's behavior is very active and energetic. However, you won't see any type of undue aggressive behavior in spite of their being active. They do go through a teething period but they won’t spoil your furniture.
Now, there are some points you need to consider while training dogs of this breed. They are extremely stubborn in nature and thus need to be tackled with care. Their training should be started right when they are young, especially potty training. And you should be patient while giving them training as they can get bored easily. Give some gap between each training session to make them effective. Reward them when they have done the right thing. Be polite and never punish them too harshly. The breed is a very sensitive one and undue punishment may discourage them.
Your pug needs some time to be fully grown and matured. Once they are, they will turn out to be great canine companions.
