Most dogs suffer from skin infections. Vitamin E is very helpful in curing some of the common skin disorders and diseases of your dog. These are inexpensive pills and can be purchased from any chemist or pet supplies shop. You may easily give your dog the whole pill to eat. Another alternative is to pierce the shell of the pill, extract oil inside it and rub it over the skin of the dog. These pills would work great to reduce dryness of your pooch’s skin and prevent them from itching badly.

If your dog suffers from digestive disorders, you can use acidophilus, found in the yoghurt to cure it. Acidophilus also prevents your dog from contracting the yeast infection. However, it is important to remember that only white plain yoghurt is the good yoghurt for dogs.

For treating diarrhea you can use Pepto Bismal. This is a very effective and safe remedy to cure the problem. You can consult your vet for the appropriate dosage required by your pet.

Dehydration is often an after-effect of dehydration. Plenty of water is mandatory to prevent dehydration during this time. But if your dog still gets dehydrated, you may give Pedialyte to your dog for early recovery.

Furthermore, constipation can also be the reason for discomfort of your pet. The remedy for constipation varies according to the size of the dog. For a full size dog, 3 to 4 spoons full of mineral oil mixed into food would provide the required relief. While for a small pooch, 1-2 tablespoon would do the work.

Besides, ear mites are a common problem that not only causes discomfort but may also damage the ears of your dog to a great extent. Putting a few drops of the corn oil into the ears of your dog through a dropper is a perfect remedy to treat ear mites. After this, you can gently massage the ears of your dog and wash away the ear mites with the help of cotton ball. It would be a good idea to repeat this process for some days regularly.
