Are you fed up of your dog’s incessant barking?  You love your pet, but the constant barking is nagging you! Well, barking is the natural way for dogs and pups to communicate or express themselves. However, continuous  barking can be very irritating for you as well as the neighbors. You may get used to it, but your neighbors may accuse you of disturbing the peace!

There can be various reasons behind this type of dog behavior. Some of them are listed below

- Maybe your pet is lonely and wants to attract your attention.
- Some other pet or animal such as a cat or a squirrel may  have invaded its territory.
- It may be trying to warn you of danger.
- It may just be having fun.

You may not want your dog to stop barking completely, at the same time the constant barking is a source of nuisance and nothing else. Thus, in order to train dogs to stop unnecessary barking, follow these tips:

- Don't chain it or leave it isolated for too long. This makes dogs aggressive and forces them to bark.
- Dogs usually bark when they feel hungry or thirsty or need a walk. Check that your dog has been feeding and doesn’t need to go out.
- You should take it for an annual check-up to ensure perfect health. They might bark if they are not well
- Training programs should help dogs deal with isolation and separation anxiety and help them to calm down.

Training programs should not only include toilet training but good barking training program as well. One should also take care of the following when training dogs or puppies.

- Never reward your puppy when it is barking.
- Never allow it to spoil its dog house or enclosure.

You should teach your pet to respect you. You are the one who is providing it with food and shelter and thus it needs to give you adequate respect. At the same time you need to provide the animal with love and affection and make sure it is not lonely.
